Feel free to leave any comments about your holiday with NWF. Post a comment | Faroe Island Trip Have just come back from a fantastic trip to the Faroe Islands. It is the most amazing place. We would recommend it to anyone who loves wild places. The trip was very well organised. Hotels were excellent. Most of all Angela was a brilliant guide, so knowledgeable about everything - wildlife, fauna, birdlife and Island life. Thank you all so much at NWF for a wonderful holiday. | Hi NWF First day back at work today after being on the Orkney Explorer trip last week. Had a really good time thanks to Angela's excellent guiding, the interesting NWF clientele (a very well balanced group) and the summer weather. What a fascinating location -very different to the trips I've been on the last few years. Please tell Ben I haven't abandoned the strenuous trips altogether - there's a good chance I'll try one next year - if I'm not tempted by the Shetland Saga or Nor' West Trek! Keep up the good work!

| Hello NWF A great first week with NWF to Torridon. Good accommodation, knowledgeable, friendly and enthousiastic guiding by Ben. Excellent range of walks. Really enjoyed the whole week. | | From Mr Bramhall | Reply | Sent 05/09/2008 |
| Hello NWF Just to say thank you again for a great trip to Harris (& St Kilda). Very interesting walking in beautiful but rugged area. Wind caused occassional difficulties but Iain was very helpful. Disappointing that the weather prevented the St Kilda trip, but the Shiant Islands proved a worthwhile and facinating alternative. | | From Mr & Mrs Coxon | Reply | Sent 23/09/2007 |
| Harris & St Kilda Stunning locations, excellent hotel, very good food and an enthousiastic competent walking leader. Thanks so much! | | From Mrs Hemingway | Reply | Sent 20/09/2007 |
| Hello NWF Team Highlands & Hebrides Discovery 10 Aug - 18 Aug 2007
I wanted to extend a BIG "thank you" to everyone at NW Frontiers. My daughter, Theresa, & I had a fantastic time on this walking tour. Iain Davidson, our guide, was totally awesome!!! He was constantly aware of everyone in our group, i.e. their strengths, abilities & was very accommodating to those who were the "rabbits" of the group. Overall, he allowed everyone to go at their own pace. Our "minging" day on Skye provided us with an impromptu trip to Dunvegan Castle which I thoroughly enjoyed. Theresa & I were actually appreciative for the "wee bit" of winds, clouds & sometimes damp weather because it kept the midges away!. All in all a great way to explore the Highlands & Hebrides. I hope to return to Scotland again & explore Orkney & Shetland. If anyone is ever looking for a walking tour company for Scotland, I will definitely, without a doubt, recommend NW Frontiers & Iain Davidson as their guide. Cheers!!

| Hi NWF I was on the Highland & Hebrides tour with Iain Thow last July. Iain was a wonderful trip leader. He made it very enjoyable and memorable. He kept the different hiking abilities together; he shared his vast knowledge of the culture, history, fauna and geology with the group. He had the knack of making a group of diverse strangers feel like long time friends. It was one of the best trips of my life. See you again! | | From P Grealish, USA | Reply | Sent 09/04/2007 |
| Hello all at NWF I wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed last week's trip to the Outer Hebrides. This is the first time I've been with North-West Frontiers and I hope it won't be the last! Iain was an excellent leader - efficient, knowledgeable, clearly at home in the hills in all weathers, and with a wealth of knowledge which led to an almost infinite ability to vary the programme to make the best of the rather variable weather conditions. He also has a terrific enthusiasm for what he does which is infectious. I thought the programme provided an excellent introduction to the islands. I loved Harris and would like to go back. I gather you do an intermediate week on Harris which I'd be very interested in, particularly if a visit to St Kilda can be included. Thanks again for an excellent week. | | From A Edwards | Reply | Sent 23/09/2006 |
| My September Tongue trip Just to let you know what a fantastic time I had. Great walking, delicious food and a lovely group of people. Iain really is first class - knowledgeable, thoughtful and really good company, every day was a pleasure. Can't wait for my next trip.

| Hello NWF I am just writing to let you know how much I enjoyed my North-West Frontiers holiday at Gairloch and Loch Maree in August this year. The hotel was very comfortable and the food was excellent. The walks were terrific and our guide, Terry, was unfailingly courteous and extremely knowlegeable and informative. All in all, a great week. Thankyou. | | From Juliet Nuri | Reply | Sent 17/09/2006 |
| Tongue in September Just a quick note to say how much I enjoyed the week in/around Tongue. Ian did a great job and led us on a varied selection of coastal/mountain routes. A special thanks to Marco for his assistance following my delayed departure from Canterbury. I look forward to another holiday with North West Frontiers in the future.

| Gairloch trip I would like to send a belated thank-you for a most enjoyable holiday in Gairloch last month, and particular thanks to Ian for leading us with good humour, fortitude and flexibility. The company was good and the meals excellent.
A nice touch of Ian's was to visit the Badachro Inn at the end of a day's walking. Thanks again and I hope to see you again next year.

| Camping in Fisherfield I'd just like to thank you for organising a most enjoyable trip to Fisherfield. The weather was perhaps not ideal for camping, but the tents stood up to it well and the spot you chose for us was idyllic. Sandy was a grand leader - with his quiet blend of Scottish humour and care for us 'followers'; obviously a man of great outdoor experience. He found interesting routes for us, which were exhilarating yet under control. And, of course, the remoteness of the terrain made for magnificent views. I look forward to future trips with North-West, including camping again. | | From Ali (Scotland) | Reply | Sent 05/08/2005 |
| Loch Maree and Torridon Last year my uncle and I did the Loch Maree intermediate trip with NWF and it was utterly fantastic! It was our first visit to Scotland and we really enjoyed everything - amazing landscape, great people, excellent guide (Ben), nice hotel and even the company of lovely midges!! As an adrenaline junkie, I am keen on climbing and walking on the mountains... I will never forget this holiday!
See you soon! | | From Maria Almeida (PORTUGAL) | Reply | Sent 11/06/2005 |

| Last year in Tongue I did the Far North trip last year in dreadful weather and still enjoyed every minute of it. The guide, Ben Lowe, was excellent, and the Tongue Hotel is a pleasure. I'll be back for more. | | From Alastair McLeod, San Diego, California | Reply | Sent 01/04/2005 |
