The Eilean Ban Trust - The sea and land around Skye has many associations with the author Gavin Maxwell and his otters. He wrote the book, A Ring of Bright Water whilst living in the area. His last house, on Eilean Ban, has been restored by the Eilean Ban Trust who manage the island according to conservation principles. From April to October, there are regular tours around Eilean Ban, a chance to see it's resident wild otters and visit a small museum about Gavin Maxwell.
