West Highland Way

Grade Moderate
  • Experience the grandeur of the Scottish Highlands
  • Walk along the shores of beautiful Loch Lomond
  • Cross the remote & dramatic Rannoch Moor
  • Hike over the Devil's Staircase

Scotland's premier self-guided long distance trek

The West Highland Way at 154km (96 miles) is Scotland's famous and original long distance trail linking the Lowlands and Highlands. This eight day self-guided trek takes you from the outskirts of Glasgow, along the beautiful shores of Loch Lomond to Fort William at the foot of Ben Nevis, Britain's highest mountain.

The route follows the historical tracks, paths and roads that have shaped the history of the Highlands and hold the dark secrets of its past. The trail takes you along the shores of sparkling lochs through glacier carved glens, past rugged mountain and across remote moors with wonderful highland hospitality in-between.

Daily baggage transfers are included allowing you time too enjoy the walk while only carrying a light day pack. We organise your first night in Glasgow and the next day we take you to the start of the trek, giving you a relaxing start with no travel complications.

You could spend extra days in Fort William for a distillery tour, climb Ben Nevis or for a journey on the Jacobite steam train to the pretty fishing port of Mallaig.
