This fabulous 70 miles (112 km) long-distance walk from the lively fishing village of Ullapool all the way north to Cape Wrath, the northwest tip of the UK mainland. Some days we will ascend up to 600m over dramatic rugged mountain passes; during others we use stalker’s paths to take us through remote, scenic glens along rushing rivers and pretty birch woods. We start our trail on Saturday afternoon, when we cover the first stretch from Ullapool to Strathkanaird. The following days we will trek across the haunting moors of Assynt to reach Ledmore, then Inchnadamph, Kylesku, Achfary and on to just northeast of Riconich. On our last day we tackle the classic walk encompassing Sandwood Bay and Cape Wrath; coastal scenery with towering sea stacks and shimmering beaches bounded by the Atlantic Ocean.
This trip is based in Ullapool & Durness; the walks are minibus supported meaning we’ll only have to carry a daypack and we will be picked-up and dropped off at the start / finish of each walk.

Please note: we we do not physically walk the complete distance between Ullapool and Cape Wrath. This means we are not always starting to walk from exactly the same place where we finished the day before.

| This is a trek at intermediate grade. There are a few long days and on some days we will ascend to 600m. The walking is on a combination of (rough) stalkers tracks and (boggy) pathless terrain.

Accommodation
We book your accommodation in a comfortable, centrally located guesthouse/B&B in Ullapool (4 nights) and Durness (3 nights), where you can be sure of Highland hospitality and a friendly welcome.
