The glens of Affric, Cannich and Strathfarrar number among Scotland’s finest and most beautiful. Below Loch Affric, the glen becomes wooded and fertile, and the richly varied landscape includes lovely forests of native birch and Old Caledonian pine. This is a great walking area and we start the week with climbing Toll Creagach and Tom a'Choinnich. In addition Beinn a' Bha'ach Ard is classic territory at Intermediate level and Sgurr Fhuar-thuill in Strathfarrar also offers a top day on the hill.

On Tuesday we will transfer to Fort William and on Wednesday we will follow the remote drovers’ trail from Loch Ossian back to Fort William.

The beautiful Glen Spean area and surrounding mountains need no further introduction. We have many great hills to choose from.

Accommodation
We book your accommodation in a comfortable, centrally located guesthouse/B&B in Inverness (3 nights) and Fort William (4 nights), where you can be sure of Highland hospitality and a friendly welcome. Details to be confirmed closer to the departure date.

Walking Grade
A mixture of mountain walks with 1500 to 3000 feet (450-900 m) of ascent and long low-level walks of up to 15 miles (24 km). We will walk for 6 to 7 hours a day at a steady pace but with plenty of view stops. There are few paths and the way is often over rough ground. Requires good fitness, previous hill walking experience is an advantage.
